Akira is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film co-written, produced and directed by AR Murugadoss. It is a remake of the 2011 Tamil-language film Mouna Guru, and features Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role.
Principal photography began in March 2015, and the film released worldwide on 2 September 2016. The soundtrack composed by Vishal-Shekhar has been released on 16 August 2016.
