Agnee is a pioneering Indian rock band formed in Pune in 2007, known for their melodious, soulful, and positive sound that blends classic rock riffs with traditional Indian classical elements. The band's core founding members include Mohan Kannan (lead vocals and acoustic guitar) and Kaustubh Dhavale, popularly known as Koco (lead guitars).
Agnee broke away from conventional indie-rock formulas by experimenting with diverse musical distribution models, famously giving away their self-titled debut album for free and partnering directly with fans and brands. They rose to mainstream prominence with hit tracks like Sadho Re, Shaam Tanha, and Aahatein (from the MTV series MTV Splitsvilla), as well as anthemic collaborations like Hello Andheron (the theme song for the Indian release of The Avengers).
Renowned for their high-energy live performances, interactive stage presence, and deep connection with youth audiences, Agnee has also composed music for Bollywood and regional films, including Shala and Dil Dosti Etc.
